Dear Village Mayors,
We’re almost there, WHY2025 is just around the corner, and the field is starting to take shape!
This will likely be the last email before the event kicks off, so please read carefully and share with your village teams as needed.
🚗 Vehicle Access & Buildup Queues 🚗🚗🚗🚗
Please be aware that vehicle access to the terrain is very limited and only possible on:
Day -1 and Day 0 (wednesday and thursday) 10:00 – 22:00.
There will be no vehicle access again until after the closing talk. This means:
To make things smooth for everyone, here’s what you and your team should do when arriving:
Enter the field and join the queue
Keep your tickets ready - this saves time! Really it does!
Know the name of your village - I don’t know is probably the worst answer...
Know your village location - check it on the map beforehand: 👉 maps.why2025.org
Queue up again and get ready to enter the field – Almost there be patient!
You’ll be guided to the drop-off point of your village field by a bike angel - Be kind to angels, they’re sweet! And we need them!
Unload your car quickly – The sooner the better, and smaller the queue. Really!
Return your angel while parking your car at the parking area (or send the driver 127.0.0.1)
Carry your gear from the drop-off point to your village spot.
Start building up - and hey, don’t forget to drink mate and enough H2O!
Access to the field with cars is very limited (close to none), as cars are only allowed on hardened roads. So, please plan accordingly:
Bring carts, trolleys, or other carrying equipment to move your gear during build-up and tear-down.
Plan extra time for unloading and setting up your village without vehicle access.
Prepare for wet weather! It’s the Netherlands it might rain...
If your village wants access to:
Power
Ethernet (UTP)
... please bring sufficient cables to connect to the nearest distribution point (maximum distance to distribution points is approximately 50 meters). Label your gear to avoid confusion and help us all stay safe and organized.
To help
everyone have an amazing and safe time, we kindly ask that you and your team read the
camp rules before arriving:
👉 Read
the camp rules here
In addition, remember that we are in the Netherlands and must comply with Dutch law.
If there are minors staying in or visiting your village:
It is illegal to serve, sell, give, or share alcohol with anyone under 18.
To keep
it simple:
Alcoholic
drinks may only be shared with people
wearing a visible 18+ wristband.
Anyone aged 18+ can get one at the entrance or info desk by showing valid ID.
Please help us enforce this for everyone’s safety and peace of mind.
That’s all for now. We’re super excited to see your villages come to life, thank you for being a vital part of the WHY2025 community. Travel safely, stay hydrated, and see you on the field very soon!
Warm regards,
Winko
